TL;DR
Management Accountant (Financial Reporting): Preparing management accounts, supporting audits, budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining month-end and balance-sheet reconciliation processes with an accent on variance analysis, complex financial data, and reporting across multiple entities. Focus on investigating actual-versus-budget results, presenting management accounts to senior finance stakeholders, and delivering accurate reporting for an international retail group.
Location: Shirebrook HQ, Meadow Lane, Mansfield, UK; onsite 5 days a week

Frasers Group operates an international retail brand ecosystem spanning sports, premium, luxury, and gaming brands, including , Sports Direct, USC, Frasers, and GAME.
What you will do
- Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group entities.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate differences between actual, budgeted, and forecast results.
- Present management accounts to the line manager and senior finance stakeholders.
- Own relevant entity audits and prepare year-end trial balances.
- Post month-end journals and reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and provide ad hoc reporting for financial planning.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with accounting systems and finance processes.
- Excellent MS Excel skills and confidence working with large-scale, complex data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Availability to work onsite at the Shirebrook HQ 5 days a week.

Hiring process
