Commissioning Engineer for Digital Apps (IoT 5.0 and SCADA Applications)

Location: On-site work in Sweden and Germany; international travel required for 70% of working time. Work follows a 3-weeks-on, 1-week-off rotation.

What you will do

• Provide on-site commissioning, technical diagnostics, and resolution of customer issues for complex digital and industrial projects.
• Review specifications, control drawings, I/O lists, network architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and bills of materials.
• Validate and install PLCs, RTUs, servers, network infrastructure, firewalls, sensors, Panel Servers, concentrators, gateways, and related firmware.
• Configure SCADA platforms such as AVEVA, Wonderware, Siemens WinCC, and GE iFIX, including HMI, alarms, events, and communications.
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, IoT gateways, remote servers, and third-party DCS, EMS, BMS, and FMCS systems.
• Perform loop checks and validate end-to-end communication and data exchange between field instruments, gateways, and the EAA Platform.

Requirements

• Electrotechnical education; a university degree is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of automation, IT solutions, networks, digital systems integration, and software configuration.
• Experience with TCP/IP, Modbus, IEC 61850, SNMP, SNTP, MQTT, REST, Profinet, and Profibus.
• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage products; Schneider Electric experience is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical and electrical hands-on skills, including the use of measurement tools, with the ability to analyze and resolve technical challenges independently.
• Fluent English communication at B2 level or higher is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Schneider Electric products.
• Experience with MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Power System Cx software.
