Site Electrical Engineer (10-months Contract)

Location: Ajuy, Iloilo, Philippines; on-site work and travel to project locations as needed

What you will do

• Oversee electrical construction, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning for PV, LV, MV, and HV systems.
• Verify construction work against technical drawings, design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections, maintain quality control, and identify and resolve non-conformities and construction defects.
• Coordinate project managers, design engineers, site professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, resource allocation, materials, services, and budget performance.
• Enforce site safety protocols, conduct inspections, and maintain daily activity, material, and equipment records.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of electrical engineering experience in power utilities, renewable energy, ground-mounted solar power plants, or large-scale construction.
• Knowledge of solar PV construction and testing and commissioning methodologies for related equipment.
• Knowledge of MV and HV substation construction and testing and commissioning requirements.
• Understanding of electrical engineering standards, codes, regulations, construction methodologies, and techniques.
• English and Ilonggo language skills required.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, multitasking, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certifications.
• Experience with ground-mounted solar power plants in rolling terrain.
• Familiarity with industry-relevant software.
