Associate, Corporate Credit Underwriting (Private Credit)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Build financial models, sensitivity analyses, comparable company analyses, and other quantitative analyses across multiple industries.
• Research industries and evaluate potential direct-lending investment opportunities.
• Analyze and synthesize new investment opportunities and support legal documentation.
• Prepare, present, and discuss investment committee memoranda and materials with senior team members.
• Develop relationships with management teams during the investment process.
• Support portfolio monitoring, reporting, investor requests, presentations, and other ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in credit investing, investment banking, preferably leveraged finance, or a combination of both.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and a demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, organization, initiative, and flexibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to work collaboratively and independently in a rigorous, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of credit agreements and bond indentures.
• Strong interest in private credit and direct lending.
