Associate - IG Credit (Financials)

Location: London, United Kingdom; full-time, office-based role.

What you will do

• Support all stages of the investment underwriting and portfolio management process across investment grade funds.
• Cover corporate credit across liquid and illiquid mandates in partnership with the Principal.
• Support deal teams with the origination and underwriting of complex private transactions.
• Build financial models, projections, and quantitative analyses, particularly for insurance-sector opportunities.
• Conduct industry research and ongoing investment monitoring across multiple industries and sectors.
• Collaborate with deal teams, external counterparties, internal stakeholders, and the broader credit platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a buy-side or sell-side financial markets role.
• Experience in M&A or equity research is preferred.
• Multi-year exposure to the insurance sector, including complex modeling and projections.
• Master’s degree with an exceptional academic record; an undergraduate degree in actuarial science is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects, transactions, and workstreams in a rigorous, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
