Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, United States; full-time onsite when not traveling. Travel: 50%, sometimes with short notice.

What you will do

• Drive supplier qualification for existing and prospective in-country suppliers, collaborating with Sourcing and other functions on new suppliers, products, and production processes.
• Manage supplier quality activities including first-piece approvals, production-part inspections, product and process validation, control plans, containment, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Support suppliers in implementing product specifications and corrective actions through SCAR and PCAR processes.
• Lead supplier development initiatives focused on inspection improvements, mistake-proofing, capacity, technology, and quality management.
• Perform trend analysis, establish supplier quality metrics, and communicate quality objectives with internal customers.
• Complete supplier audits, process evaluations, inspections, and special quality projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, including supplier qualification, management, correction, and development.
• Experience with supplier quality for cast and machined components.
• Knowledge of facility audits, QMS guidelines, Quality Engineering principles, statistical analysis, and related software.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Minitab, problem-solving methods, and measuring equipment; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored immigration support.

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
