Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Seals)

What you will do

• Review application requests and select or apply standard and special products, including mechanical seals, fluid control products, couplings, filters, and bearings.
• Prepare engineering proposals, product specifications, material recommendations, calculations, and technical drawings guidance.
• Perform advanced seal, fluid control, coupling, and engineering calculations, including in-depth CSTEDY design analysis.
• Investigate field problems and product failures, recommend solutions, and lead technical discussions with customers at their sites.
• Develop new products and enhancements, manage development programmes, support production transitions, and conduct mechanical seal testing.
• Provide technical presentations and training, maintain engineering databases and standards, and support engineering change processes.

Requirements

• Accredited BEng degree or overseas equivalent in engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an applications or product development role.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant products, equipment, and industries.
• Experience with engineering calculations, mechanical seal design, product testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
• Ability to provide technical direction to CAD personnel and support customer-facing engineering activities.
