Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. The team is based in NYC and works Eastern Time. Hiring is currently set up across most U.S. states; employment is not currently available in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wyoming. Candidates in excluded states may relocate to NYC. Relocation support to New York is available.

Salary: $183,000–$237,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead technical projects that improve how engineers build, test, and ship hirify.global’s core product and monolith.
• Migrate legacy frameworks and introduce modern frontend tooling, libraries, and design-system support.
• Reduce test-suite runtime and improve the reliability of developer-facing tests.
• Optimize local development, including build, bundling, and hot-reload performance.
• Investigate and resolve frontend performance regressions in the Editor.
• Define standards and frameworks for adoption across Core engineering, while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering high-impact technical projects.
• Strong proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, including TypeScript and SolidJS or React, with the ability to work across the stack.
• Deep experience with developer tooling, build systems, bundlers, testing frameworks, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience modernizing large, complex codebases through framework migrations, dependency upgrades, and maintainable architecture design.
• Experience organizing and leading projects involving multiple engineers, with clear communication, measurable outcomes, and effective mentoring.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global’s broader stack, including React Native, Node, Rust, Python, LLM APIs, LangChain, AWS, CDK, Terraform, ECS, Redis, or Postgres.
• Experience incorporating modern AI tools into developer workflows.
