Secure Build, Release & Observability Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Budapest, Szeged, Pécs, or Debrecen, Hungary. Remote work is available only from within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for repository intake, builds, image creation, artefact promotion, deployments, and release evidence.
• Implement release controls covering private registries, package sources, signing, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, dependency provenance, and approvals.
• Build observability for build systems, workflow services, repositories, test environments, model endpoints, and platform components using logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot build failures, flaky pipelines, missing dependencies, environment drift, performance bottlenecks, and handover-readiness gaps.
• Collaborate with software, SRE, testing, and security teams on runbooks, operational KPIs, risk indicators, and audit-ready release evidence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, release engineering, platform operations, infrastructure automation, or secure build engineering.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, Kubernetes-based delivery, container builds, private registries, artefact management, and release automation.
• Practical knowledge of observability, incident response, operational dashboards, runbooks, SLA/SLO concepts, and distributed-environment troubleshooting.
• Understanding of software supply-chain security, SBOMs, image scanning, secrets handling, dependency provenance, and audit-ready release evidence.
• Ability to work in confidentiality-sensitive environments requiring reproducibility, traceability, controlled access, and structured collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, GitHub Enterprise, Helm, Docker, Kaniko, BuildKit, Nexus, Harbor, or Artifactory.
• Experience with Trivy, Grype, Syft, Cosign, SLSA-oriented controls, secrets detection, and policy gates.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, Alertmanager, and automated health checks.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted code validation, log analysis, documentation generation, model gateways, or workflow services.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, GitOps, private networks, controlled proxies, package mirrors, and secure secrets management.
