DevOps Architect (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Own the infrastructure and platform roadmap, recommending technologies and architectural patterns for scalability, cost efficiency, and agility.
• Define technical specifications and non-functional requirements covering security, performance, availability, disaster recovery, reliability, observability, and cost optimization.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices using Terraform or OpenTofu, Pulumi, Helm, ArgoCD or Flux, and Ansible.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers, SREs, DevOps teams, and application developers.
• Create architecture decision records, design blueprints, runbooks, standards, guardrails, and platform user guides.
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, single points of failure, compliance gaps, operational drift, and infrastructure cost overruns.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or architecture, including 5+ years with production-scale Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, operators, CNI, service mesh, multi-cluster federation, and large-scale upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and hybrid or on-premises integrations.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, Docker, CI/CD, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and distributed databases; networking; load balancing; firewalls; RBAC; secrets management; encryption; and vulnerability scanning.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
