Director, People Operations (Biotech)

Salary: $215,000–$235,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the People Operations strategy, operating model, roadmap, and day-to-day execution across onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, employee lifecycle operations, reporting, vendor management, and compliance.
• Manage recurring HR programs, including compensation cycles, performance management, talent processes, employee lifecycle events, communications, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Own governance and continuous improvement for ADP Workforce Now, related HR technology platforms, onboarding programs, HR service delivery, documentation, process maps, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead HR compliance, recordkeeping, audits, privacy, policy administration, immigration processes, benefits administration, and operational controls in partnership with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external counsel.
• Oversee HR vendors, contracts, service-level agreements, renewals, invoicing, performance, and operational spend while driving automation and process transformation.
• Lead, coach, and develop People Operations team members and functional workstream owners while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR operations, People Operations, HR shared services, or related HR experience, preferably in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or high-growth environments.
• Deep experience with HRIS, ATS, HR technology, automation, reporting, and data governance; experience with ADP Workforce Now and Greenhouse ATS is strongly preferred.
• Experience scaling onboarding, employee lifecycle, HR operations, service delivery, and HR technology processes in a growing organization.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment documentation, employee data, benefits, vendor management, recordkeeping, audits, leave coordination, and immigration processes.
• Experience leading people, functional workstreams, or cross-functional teams, with strong analytical, communication, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or HR certification.
• Experience evaluating and governing AI-enabled HR technology with attention to privacy, compliance, bias mitigation, change management, and adoption.
