What you will do

• Perform daily general ledger controls and reconciliations and propose accounting adjustments.
• Support month-end closing and prepare Head Office reporting packages and templates.
• Prepare HKMA banking returns, statutory surveys, and other regulatory submissions accurately and on time.
• Monitor regulatory ratios and HKMA communications, ensuring timely responses to regulatory queries.
• Maintain control and governance frameworks and support internal and external audits.
• Drive automation, process improvements, and reporting system change initiatives using AI and data tools.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in accounting or reporting within financial institutions.
• Academic background in accounting; CPA qualification or Big Four experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of the HKMA regulatory framework and reporting requirements.
• Good understanding of IFRS, particularly its application to corporate and investment banking products.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, with the ability to speak Mandarin.
• Strong attention to detail, control mindset, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience driving system changes or process improvements.
• Experience with Power Query, SQL, and AI tools for automation and data analysis.
• CPA qualification or Big Four experience.
