TL;DR
APAC Financial Controller (Finance): Leading financial close, statutory reporting, payroll governance, internal controls, audits, and legal entity compliance across APAC jurisdictions with an accent on US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, consolidation, and regional financial governance. Focus on standardizing finance processes, strengthening controls, managing complex payroll and accounting requirements, and leading controllership teams across multiple countries and entities.

What you will do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across APAC entities under US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory, SOX, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee statutory financial statements, local filings, legal entity compliance, consolidations, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
- Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, financial risk monitoring, audit readiness, remediation activities, and external auditor coordination.
- Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, Shared Services, Corporate Accounting, HR, and Global Security on regional controllership matters.
- Lead regional payroll strategy and operations, including payroll controls, provider governance, compliance, continuity, bonuses, equity compensation, and statutory contributions.
- Drive finance process simplification, ERP, SAP, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives while leading and developing the regional controllership organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or an equivalent national accounting qualification.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, statutory accounting, consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency accounting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- 12–18 years of progressive finance experience, including 5–8 years in controllership, finance director, or regional leadership roles.
- Experience managing multiple APAC countries, legal entities, and shared-service relationships.
- Proven ownership of financial close, regional reporting, statutory audits, payroll compliance, audit remediation, transfer-pricing operational compliance, and legal entity governance.
