APAC Financial Controller

Location: Shugart, Singapore. Travel: None.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, consolidation, reporting, reconciliations, and disclosures across APAC entities.
• Oversee statutory financial statements, local filings, legal entity governance, audit readiness, statutory audits, SOX activities, and remediation.
• Maintain internal controls and govern accounting treatment under US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Lead regional payroll strategy, standardization, transformation, country payroll oversight, provider governance, controls, compliance, and audit support.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions on intercompany arrangements, transfer pricing implementation, foreign currency matters, and entity governance.
• Drive finance process simplification, SAP, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives while leading and developing the regional controllership organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA, Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or an equivalent national qualification.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, statutory accounting, consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency accounting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• 12–18 years of progressive finance experience, including 5–8 years in controllership, finance director, or regional leadership roles.
• Experience managing multiple APAC countries, legal entities, and shared-service relationships.
• Proven ownership of financial close, regional reporting, statutory audits, balance sheet governance, audit remediation, payroll compliance, and legal entity governance.
