Concrete Saw Cutter / Core Driller

Location: Field - Midlothian, Virginia; daily travel to job sites required

What you will do

• Load, unload, transport, set up, and operate saws, drills, heavy machinery, and power tools.
• Cut and drill concrete, asphalt, and masonry according to project specifications.
• Take accurate measurements, interpret plans and specifications, and use hand tools to complete work.
• Use water and other fluids to control dust and cool cutting surfaces.
• Clean, maintain, and ensure the proper use of tools and equipment.
• Work with crew members, supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• At least 2 years of concrete saw cutting and core drilling experience for operator roles; entry-level helper positions are also available.
• Experience with measuring and hand tools, construction techniques, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow plans and specifications, work independently and in a team, and follow crew and supervisor instructions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and work around machinery, dust, fumes, chemicals, loud noise, changing temperatures, humidity, and heights.
• Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening and a background check is required.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Previous construction, concrete cutting, or labor experience for helper positions.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and relevant experience.
