Salary: Lecturer NZ$99,788–NZ$119,204 per year; Senior Lecturer NZ$126,863–NZ$158,904 per year

What you will do

• Teach intermediate and advanced financial accounting courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Contribute expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards, auditing and assurance.
• Develop and publish research on areas such as strategic disclosures, regulatory enforcement, ESG measurement and disclosure, investor relations, and accounting standards.
• Design curriculum and contribute to innovative teaching methods and exceptional student learning experiences.
• Supervise PhD and Masters students and seek internal and external research funding.
• Participate in Department, Faculty and University committees and service activities.

Requirements

• PhD in Financial Accounting or a related discipline, or nearing completion.
• Potential for a Lecturer-level or proven Senior Lecturer-level track record in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Publications in highly ranked journals in relevant disciplines, such as ABDC A*/A or AJG 4*/4/3 journals.
• Experience or potential in curriculum design, research funding and supervision of PhD and Masters students.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate research ideas and future plans.
• Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, at the Auckland City Campus.
