Manufacturing Process Documentation Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Malvern, Arkansas, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Observe manufacturing operations and interview operators, leads, and supervisors to capture process knowledge.
• Photograph, annotate, and document production processes with attention to safety, quality, and operational relevance.
• Develop, revise, and standardize SOPs, work instructions, visual aids, and related documentation.
• Identify safety-critical steps, quality checkpoints, required controls, escalation paths, and documentation gaps.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Safety, operators, supervisors, and engineers to validate documentation.
• Maintain version control, traceability, templates, standards, and organized documentation systems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or process-focused field.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate complex work into clear, structured documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and observing hands-on production processes.
• Must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future; candidates working on OPT authorization will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Coursework or experience in manufacturing, quality systems, safety, operations, process design, or documentation.
• Experience with SOPs, work instructions, training materials, or other structured documentation.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, safety concepts, or continuous improvement methods.
• Interest in technical documentation, manufacturing engineering, quality, safety, or a related technical career.
