TL;DR
Quality Engineering Intern (Manufacturing): Developing, deploying, and monitoring quality processes for Lund and Crestliner boat manufacturing with an accent on verification, validation, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement. Focus on implementing quality plans, processing PPAP/FAI submissions, analyzing corrective actions, and improving internal process controls.

Location: New York Mills, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.00–$27.00 per hour

hirify.global is a global marine manufacturer producing Lund and Crestliner boats and developing technologies for marine recreation.

What you will do

  • Develop, deploy, and monitor built-in quality processes across manufacturing value streams.
  • Create and implement quality plans for new products through the HPPD process.
  • Process PPAP and FAI submissions to support timely new product shipments.
  • Investigate tactical quality issues, review corrective actions, and verify root-cause elimination measures.
  • Analyze quality performance data, support internal audits, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Manage projects focused on warranty corrective actions, supplier hardware, and internal process controls.

Requirements

  • Engineering student with at least 80 credits toward a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience using SolidWorks, DraftSight, or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States immediately and without sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Full-time commitment from May through August 2027; occasional travel of up to 10% may be required.

Nice to have

  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week periodically when required.
