TL;DR
Senior Test Automation Engineer (Identity & Security) (Java/OAuth 2.0/OIDC): Building automated API, integration, and compliance test suites for a security-critical digital identity platform supporting healthcare services, with an accent on traceable test evidence and regulated quality assurance. Focus on testing authentication and authorization flows, developing scalable Java frameworks, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites as code using Java.
- Create Cucumber BDD scenarios and automate REST API testing for OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication and authorization flows.
- Develop integration tests with JUnit 5, Testcontainers, and WireMock.
- Validate gematik compliance through traceable, evidence-based test reporting and manage execution in Jira Xray.
- Improve automated testing stages in CI/CD pipelines and extend coverage to UI, mobile, and performance testing when appropriate.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and DevOps teams through code reviews and documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, or SDET roles.
- Strong Java programming skills and experience designing scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API test automation, REST Assured or Postman, Cucumber BDD, JUnit 5, and TDD principles.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC authentication testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development practices.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Testcontainers, WireMock, Selenium, Appium, Apache JMeter, Pact, Jira Xray, Python, or AI-assisted test automation tools.
- Experience in healthcare, digital identity, cybersecurity, or other regulated industries.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
- German language skills.
