Inplant Ink Technician / Production

What you will do

• Maintain the on-site ink room and serve as a liaison between INX and the customer.
• Review schedules, coordinate jobs, evaluate production requirements, and respond to service call-ins as needed.
• Perform technical service, color matching, ink production, dispensing, and manufacturing of batches under 100 pounds.
• Provide press-side technical support and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Manage inventory, monthly consignment counts, work-off control, job estimates, and monthly reports.
• Perform quality control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches while following safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, written, reading comprehension, and math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other computer systems, with accurate data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of spectrophotometers, X-Rite IQC, SAP, offset sheetfed products, flexible packaging, flexographic printing, or solvent inks.
• Previous laboratory, inplant, warehouse, or inplant pressroom experience.
• College degree.
