Construction Section Head - Mechanical

Location: Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Lead and manage mechanical construction activities in line with project specifications, approved plans, schedules, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning, and other project disciplines.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources while monitoring productivity and construction progress.
• Manage subcontractors and site teams to achieve quality, safety, productivity, and schedule targets.
• Review method statements, risk assessments, work procedures, and execution plans before construction activities.
• Implement the Permit-to-Work system and resolve site execution challenges through project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects, including at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Experience with ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong experience managing mechanical construction activities, large site teams, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution strategies, productivity management, ADNOC standards, international codes, HSE regulations, risk assessments, and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in fast-track projects.

Nice to have

• ADNOC approval or prior ADNOC leadership experience.
