E & I Construction Section Head (Oil & Gas)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite construction project in the UAE

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day electrical and instrumentation construction activities in line with project plans and schedules.
• Ensure crew compliance with HSE rules and maintain required quality standards.
• Coordinate with other project sections, the HSE team, and the client’s site representative.
• Plan and request resources, materials, tools, and technical documentation on time.
• Monitor work progress, identify problems, and implement resolutions.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical, instrumentation, control, fire, and safety systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Section Head or Senior Engineer on Oil & Gas projects.
• Good command of English, both oral and written.
• Ability to write method statements and prepare JSA and FRA documents with the HSE team.
• Experience installing cables, CCTV or telecom systems, fire-fighting systems, fire and gas detection, linear heat detectors, flame detectors, ICSS, ESD, and related systems.
• Experience with testing and commissioning procedures.
