Senior Electrical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield oil and gas projects.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets, power studies, cable schedules, routing drawings, earthing, lightning protection, and hazardous-area deliverables.
• Design and review power generation, transmission, distribution, protection, emergency power, UPS, battery, switchgear, transformer, motor, and lighting systems.
• Perform and review load flow, short-circuit, motor-starting, relay coordination, arc-flash, harmonic, and transient-stability studies.
• Coordinate with process, instrumentation, mechanical, structural, telecom, and HSE disciplines, including participation in HAZOP and HAZID workshops.
• Support procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, FAT, and SAT activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 15 years of electrical engineering experience in oil and gas projects, including 8 years in Greenfield Offshore EPC/EPCM projects.
• Experience across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Experience with large-scale offshore developments, preferably involving ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, or other major international operators.
• Knowledge of ADNOC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, BS, and NEMA standards.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SmartPlant Electrical, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification.
• Experience with offshore processing facilities, artificial islands, remote wellhead towers, offshore substations, brownfield integration, and 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV systems.
