Simulation & Modelling Engineer - Consultant

Location: Cambridge, UK; onsite work at offices and laboratories just outside Cambridge.

What you will do

• Model and analyse complex systems and interactions between them using MATLAB and Simulink-based tools.
• Build and develop mathematical and physics-based system models.
• Apply engineering fundamentals to challenging defence and security technology problems.
• Develop test benches and contribute to model-based systems engineering activities.
• Review code and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and designers to create rapid prototypes.

Requirements

• Industry experience in simulation, modelling, science, or engineering.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering and physics-based models.
• Knowledge of system architecture, engineering principles, and processes.
• Experience developing test benches and conducting code revision and review.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance is required.
• UKVI visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop.
• Experience with Simulink HDL Coder or Embedded Coder.
• Knowledge of DSP or radar signal processing.
• Defence industry experience.
