Solution Architect (IT)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States; CONUS and the Mid-Atlantic region

What you will do

• Define technical architectures and integration strategies for scalable IT solutions.
• Design, build, and deliver solutions for education and academia clients, including George Mason University.
• Ensure system scalability and security throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Advise ITS leadership on solution trade-offs and vendor technology choices.
• Lead technical design sessions and support Enterprise Architect and Project Manager teams.
• Oversee solution lifecycle planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in architecture roles.
• Experience with enterprise systems design, integration, and API management.
• Strategic vision, leadership, and strong technical expertise.
• Relevant experience in the education and academia sector is desired.
• Proficiency with business technology tools, including Microsoft Office; experience with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
