Grid Connection & Electrical Integration Manager (f/m/d)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid working model with 20–40% travel

What you will do

• Ensure the quality of electrical integration and grid connection certification for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between substations, HV/MV equipment, protection systems, SCADA, EMS, and BESS assets.
• Integrate engineering activities across EIS, TSOs, DSOs, EPC contractors, OEMs, and engineering consultants.
• Review engineering deliverables for compliance with project requirements and grid connection standards.
• Support project development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and energization.
• Manage external engineering partners and EPC contractors while identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with utility-scale BESS, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, or substation projects from concept through commissioning and energization.
• Knowledge of protection, control, and SCADA systems, including the ability to review and validate engineering studies, designs, and technical documentation.
• Experience with grid connection processes, certification, German and European grid requirements, and TSO/DSO processes.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, or Owner’s Engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary technical interfaces.
• Fluent German and C1 English; flexibility to travel 20–40%.
