Data Analyst

Location: Reston, Virginia, USA; employees must be available to work onsite at a client location or hirify.global office as requested, with remote work permitted when compatible with client and company needs.

What you will do

• Analyze business processes, data, and systems to quantify ambiguous business problems and gather client requirements.
• Define data governance practices, including data definitions, stewardship, transformations, and source-to-target mappings.
• Develop data collection systems, databases, analytics, and data models to improve operational efficiency.
• Perform data quality analysis and recommend quality assurance processes that improve data health.
• Apply statistical techniques, build visual reports, and communicate actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, scientists, product owners, developers, executives, and customers.

Requirements

• Experience working in an Agile development environment, including requirements definition and testing.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical languages and packages for analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, database design and development, data profiling, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion, and data munging or wrangling.
• Experience communicating concepts to both business and technical audiences, with strong collaboration and leadership skills.
• Must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship; hirify.global cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa for this position.
