TL;DR

Data Visualization Engineer (Qlik) (Qlik, SQL, ETL): Building meaningful dashboards and visualization artifacts from large, complex datasets to support mission-critical federal decision-making with an accent on Qlik data modeling, scripting, ETL development, and requirements definition. Focus on designing scalable visualizations, integrating relational data, and solving analytical challenges across evolving tools and data domains.

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States (hybrid)

What you will do

Create meaningful dashboards that support customer decision-making.
Work with large and complex datasets across multiple data domains.
Develop data models, scripts, and ETL processes within Qlik environments.
Define visualization requirements and document visualization artifacts.
Collaborate with program staff and customers to make design decisions within project constraints.
Learn and apply new tools to develop solutions and improve data analysis.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of technical experience in analysis or development involving databases, data integration, data mining, big data, or data visualization.
At least one year of experience developing dashboards with Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization technologies.
Experience with data modeling, scripting, and ETL development in Qlik environments, plus strong SQL skills with relational databases and large datasets.
Strong communication, requirements definition, documentation, diplomacy, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

Active Public Trust clearance in DHS or a DHS component.
Project experience using Qlik Sense for data visualization and analysis.
Proficiency in Python, Spark, and PySpark.
Experience with federal government clients and AWS cloud services.
