TL;DR
Materials Management Specialist (Aerospace): Managing inventory, government-furnished equipment, material receiving, and component movement for FAA modernization projects with an accent on inventory accuracy, FIFO controls, warehouse operations, and material accountability. Focus on auditing more than 150 assemblies and components, maintaining ERP/WMS records, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting production schedules in an onsite manufacturing environment.
Location: Fully onsite in Ontario, California, USA. Monday–Thursday 10-hour shifts in a warehouse and production environment.
Hourly rate: $19.00–$29.00 per hour, W-2.

What you will do
- Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming materials in the inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, FIFO storage, audits, and discrepancy investigations.
- Track and issue materials, components, and assemblies to production personnel, including more than 150 inventory items.
- Maintain accountability for Government Furnished Equipment and Government Furnished Property.
- Support shipping, receiving, packing lists, barcode tracking, and safe warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse, fabrication, procurement, manufacturing, program management, and finance teams to improve inventory controls and support production schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, material management, or logistics.
- Experience with inventory management, ERP, or WMS systems, including inventory records and cycle counts.
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory control principles and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks or obtain certification.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check, obtain a Public Trust clearance, and meet U.S. government-contractor work requirements.
Nice to have
- Government contracting experience and experience managing GFE or GFP.
- Manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, construction, electronics production, rack fabrication, or assembly experience.
- Barcode inventory management, annual physical inventories, or inventory audit experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
