Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Finance (Finance)

Location: Auckland City Campus, Auckland, New Zealand. Full-time, permanent position requiring campus-based work; applicants should outline their ability to relocate if required.

Salary: Lecturer NZ$99,788–NZ$119,204; Senior Lecturer NZ$126,863–NZ$158,904.

What you will do

• Teach finance courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using varied and innovative methods.
• Conduct independent, high-quality research in finance and contribute to leading international publications.
• Design engaging learning activities, assessments, and curriculum.
• Supervise Honours, Master’s, and, where appropriate, PhD students through to completion.
• Develop research collaborations, contribute to competitive funding applications, and engage with industry and professional partners.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees and service activities.

Requirements

• PhD in Finance, Financial Economics, or a related discipline, completed or nearing completion.
• Potential for a Lecturer appointment or a proven track record for a Senior Lecturer appointment.
• Research expertise in finance and the ability to articulate research ideas and future plans clearly.
• Evidence of engaging, research-informed teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Experience with student supervision, research collaboration, funding applications, and external engagement.
• Ability to work at the Auckland City Campus and relocate if required.
