Global Engineering Manager - Gas Seal Support Systems (GSS)

Salary: EUR 65,000–81,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead the global Gas Seal Support Systems engineering function across pre-order and post-order activities.
• Own the engineering lifecycle from RFQ and proposal development through design, customer approval, manufacturing release, and final documentation.
• Manage and develop global engineering managers, supervisors, team leaders, and engineers.
• Drive standardization, automation, continuous improvement, productivity, and engineering best practices.
• Manage capacity planning, workload distribution, resource allocation, project scheduling, and engineering performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Projects, Procurement, Manufacturing, regional teams, and customers to resolve technical issues and deliver projects successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 20+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in gas seal systems and process industries such as oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, or turbomachinery.
• Strong understanding of engineering processes, business drivers, industry standards, instrumentation, and system integration.
• Proven team leadership, stakeholder management, communication, coaching, mentoring, and change management skills.
• Ability to manage global teams in a multi-region environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of API 614 and API 692.
• Familiarity with dry gas seal panels, components, instrumentation, engineering tools, and project management systems.
• Experience with technical alignment, project management, product development, R&D, or cost optimization.
