IT Risk Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site

Base salary: $138,000–$172,500 per year

What you will do

• Manage IT risk, internal control, internal audit, and IT SOX engagements for cross-industry clients.
• Lead technology risk assessments covering internal audits, system implementations, security, access provisioning, and other specialized IT areas.
• Evaluate and test IT processes and system controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Help clients apply COBIT, NIST, and ISO frameworks and develop IT components of enterprise risk management programs.
• Manage engagement delivery, including scheduling, delegation, financials, quality reviews, client relationships, and business development.
• Develop, train, mentor, and assess staff while addressing client concerns and supporting recruiting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience in a consulting practice or similar function serving cross-industry clients.
• Required professional certification; CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA certification or license is preferred.
• Experience with technology risk assessments, IT audits, operational internal audits, process control reviews, and IIA Standards.
• Expertise in access control, security architecture and administration, firewalls, network security, security policies, database security auditing, or Windows, UNIX, and AS400 operating systems.
• Strong staff and audit management, client service, communication, analytical, project management, leadership, and mentoring skills; willingness to travel as needed.
