Electrical Training Instructor (Electrical Building Services)

What you will do

• Deliver hands-on practical training across electrical building services systems.
• Coach and mentor apprentices on active project sites and support their onboarding and inductions.
• Guide apprentices through logbooks, assessments, and technical milestones, while conducting skills assessments and development reviews.
• Identify site-specific skills gaps and deliver targeted training, toolbox talks, refresher training, and safety briefings.
• Develop and update training materials in line with industry regulations.
• Coordinate with Training and Recruitment teams, colleges, training providers, and accreditation bodies on recruitment, audits, and apprentice development.

Requirements

• Recognised electrical trade or engineering qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience in the electrical building services industry.
• Strong knowledge of wiring regulations, site safety, industry best practice, compliance, and quality workmanship.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting apprentices or junior tradespeople.
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple project priorities.
• Comfort using digital systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Nice to have

• Certificate in Training & Assessment.
• Experience supporting apprenticeship audits or inspections.
• Experience with large-scale construction or mechanical and electrical projects.
• Experience working across multiple sites or projects.
