Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Dublin, Ireland

What you will do

• Work within multidisciplinary teams on large and small projects from concept through detailed design and closeout.
• Design electrical systems and services for pharmaceutical and mission-critical facilities, including data centres.
• Provide technical support to Senior Electrical Engineers and participate in client and hirify.global meetings.
• Implement quality standards, check other electrical engineers' work, and undertake peer reviews.
• Participate in project site visits to monitor, review, and sign off electrical installations.

Requirements

• Third-level degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
• Demonstrable experience across the complete suite of electrical engineering design services, including MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting and emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice and data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing and bonding, hazardous areas, and specialist control systems.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
• Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies to provide cost-effective solutions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage assigned tasks and objectives.
• Professional approach and demeanor, with a strong ethical approach to safety, quality, and environmental protection.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
