Panel Shop Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 80,000–95,000 per year, plus benefits, bonuses, and additional extra-hours payments.

What you will do

• Lead daily panel shop operations and coordinate design, fabrication, testing, quality assurance, and delivery.
• Oversee panel layouts and translate technical requirements into efficient designs.
• Manage panel fabrication to meet technical, quality, and industry standards.
• Implement quality assurance protocols and ensure completed panels meet compliance requirements.
• Manage departmental budgets and own panel shop P&L performance.
• Mentor team members, run project and task meetings, and remove operational obstacles.

Requirements

• Managerial or supervisory experience in panel fabrication, electrical panel building, or a related manufacturing field.
• Experience leading teams through the complete build cycle from design intake to final delivery.
• Experience with budget management and P&L accountability.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, panel layouts, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of panel design, fabrication, quality assurance, resource management, and budget oversight.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and coaching skills, with a safety-first mindset.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with UL508A, CSA, or NEC standards.
