BSN Instructor- Per Diem

What you will do

• Prepare, administer, and grade course examinations and final evaluations in collaboration with other instructors.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, clinical records, and program data.
• Support faculty orientation, instructional initiatives, committee activities, faculty meetings, and student advising.
• Provide timely feedback, reports, forms, office hours, and ongoing electronic communication with students.

Requirements

• Valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or a higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, administration, OB, pediatrics, or psychiatry.
• At least four years of registered nurse experience providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching may count toward direct patient care experience.
• Clinical competence as defined in CCR Section 1420(c).
• Expertise in psychiatric nursing, geriatrics, med/surg, pediatrics, OB-Gyn, or mental health.

Nice to have

• Previous teaching experience is not required.
• Willingness to use online activities to enhance interactive teaching and learning.
