Automotive Service Manager (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage office and shop personnel, daily operations, store opening and closing, and equipment readiness.
• Guide customers through the repair process, communicate service status, explain repair solutions, and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Develop estimates and work orders, direct service writers, assign work to technicians, and ensure quality parts are selected.
• Oversee service sales, target margins, revenue, profit performance, and documented business goals.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, audits, and report analysis for franchise owners or operators.
• Enforce company policies, address non-compliance, and ensure technicians have the resources needed to work effectively.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in automotive customer service and service sales.
• Supervisory or management experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and automotive store applications.
• Current driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday, occasionally lift over 50 pounds, drive manual-transmission vehicles, and maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.

• Experience with TekMetric software.
• Graduation from an industry-recognized service training program.
