TL;DR
Junior Engineer (TA / Instrumentation Demos / Logistics) (Dam Safety Training): Supporting dam operator safety training through preparation of technical materials, instrumentation demonstrations, data visualization, field setup, and delivery logistics with an accent on civil and water-resources engineering support. Focus on maintaining inspection templates and photo logs, assisting with field labs, analyzing data, and coordinating equipment and training documentation.

Location: Generally based in the CONUS, with an initial work site in Denver, Colorado; support may extend across the Western United States.

What you will do

  • Prepare training materials, slides, figures, data visualizations, and technical documentation.
  • Support senior engineers with data analysis, technical writing, and presentation preparation.
  • Assist instructors during classroom, laboratory, and field training sessions.
  • Provide logistics support, including audiovisual setup, rosters, evaluations, equipment kits, and job hazard analysis materials.
  • Maintain inspection checklist templates and photo logs for dam safety training activities.
  • Travel to support at least two training deliveries per year across applicable regions.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or a related field; EIT certification is preferred.
  • 0–5 years of experience in civil engineering, water resources, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CAD/graphics, Microsoft Office, data entry and quality assurance, basic hydraulics or geotechnical concepts, and logistics coordination.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance with eligibility for Interim TS/SCI or a full TS/SCI clearance at proposal submission and maintain the required clearance throughout the contract.
  • Strong organization, responsiveness, teamwork, attention to detail, communication, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

  • Internship or co-op experience involving dams.
  • Familiarity with federal training logistics.
  • Experience in the government and public services sector.
