Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Location: Budapest or Pécs, Hungary; remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Develop and implement CoreMedia-based content management systems for web projects.
• Integrate and optimize Deutsche Telekom interfaces and services.
• Plan system architecture and execute complex software projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and developers to deliver customer-oriented solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and improve system quality and performance.
• Create technical documentation and transfer knowledge to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience and a degree in computer science, software development, or a comparable qualification.
• Solid Java and Spring knowledge, with willingness to learn the CoreMedia framework.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and their integration.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, relational and NoSQL databases, and Node for server-side programming.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Docker, agile methods, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Excellent German and English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Initial experience with AI and machine learning approaches in software development.
