Salary: $126,080–$207,850 per year

What you will do

• Support regulatory compliance activities, including ESG and trade-related matters.
• Advise on HR matters and draft or revise policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Review marketing and collateral materials for compliance with advertising laws and regulations.
• Monitor legal and industry developments and support policy and training updates.
• Assist with corporate governance and corporate law matters.
• Advise internal sales, marketing, planning, and other business teams while coordinating with relevant groups at the parent company in Japan.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal practice experience, preferably including both law firm and in-house work.
• Law degree from a nationally recognized law school.
• Member of the California state bar or eligible to register under California’s Registered In-House Counsel Program.
• Excellent organizational, planning, written, verbal, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters under deadlines.
• Strong legal judgment, business judgment, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Native, bilingual, or full professional proficiency in Japanese is preferred.
