Production Trainer (Nights) (Injection Molding and Assembly)

Location: Onsite at 600 Darling Dr, Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States; night shift production-floor work.

Pay range: $24.00–$30.00 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Welcome new production employees and temporary workers and introduce them to the work environment, production floor, colleagues, quality teams, and suppliers.
• Manage training checklists, coordinate with the Production Supervisor, and assign training buddies.
• Demonstrate how to start, operate, and shut down machines, respond to malfunctions and accidents, and complete shift tasks according to product specifications.
• Train employees on workstation documentation, quality checks, product samples, traceability, identification, batch preparation, and clearance.
• Explain workstation hazards and standard responses to safety concerns or incidents.
• Assess employees after induction, provide feedback and additional training, and share best practices with production, technical training, and HR teams.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an effective operator in injection molding and/or assembly.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), plus thorough knowledge of production quality procedures and documentation.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for approximately 90% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb; must be eligible to work in the United States.
