Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty (Nursing)

Location: Kauai, Hawaii, United States; in-person clinical teaching across Maui, Oahu, Lanai, and Kauai

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment

What you will do

• Teach and mentor BSN nursing students in inpatient clinical settings.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision while students deliver patient care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Provide student remediation and maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies and procedures.
• Develop clinical assignments, review coursework, and support curriculum and program evaluation.
• Collaborate with course coordinators, faculty, healthcare agencies, and college administration.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Hawaii RN license required.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the relevant instructional specialty.

Nice to have

• Completed MSN and solid clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in one or more of the listed specialties, including adult health, critical care, community health, fundamentals, maternal-child, mental health, pediatrics, or capstone practicum.
