Procurement Coordinator (Renewable Energy)

Location: Charlottesville, VA, USA; work from company headquarters required

What you will do

• Qualify suppliers and verify compliance with corporate procurement policies.
• Prepare requests for proposals and evaluate project, consultant, and equipment proposals.
• Support supplier selection, awards, and rejections while monitoring delivery and pricing performance.
• Analyze market trends, procurement risks, and pricing to support strategic purchasing decisions.
• Build relationships with renewable energy industry suppliers, consultants, and vendors.
• Communicate project and equipment status with internal departments and multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and experience negotiating contracts.
• Experience with project preconstruction and project execution processes.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems, engineering, project management, and construction management processes.
• Ability to work from the Charlottesville, Virginia headquarters; employment authorization sponsorship is not available for new applicants.

Nice to have

• Experience with energy storage systems, solar farms, and wind farms.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic and battery storage systems.
