Manufacturing Associate (Smart Home and Energy)

What you will do

• Follow supervisor instructions and complete manufacturing tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Sort, stack, assemble, and prepare wood products and finished goods for shipment.
• Build wooden pallets and four-sided wooden boxes, then wrap them in cardboard or Flexform with the J Geiger logo.
• Measure and cut cardboard precisely to fit packaging structures.
• Organize inventory, communicate with purchasing about stock levels, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Track production milestones, address schedule risks, maintain tools, and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in North Charleston, South Carolina.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand throughout the workday, bend, and handle long wooden planks and other heavy materials.
• Experience using and maintaining power or pneumatic tools.
• Basic math and measurement skills, strong attention to detail, organization, and a positive work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and commitment to high-quality, safety-first work.
• Personal protective equipment is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in general labor, construction, basic carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, or trim carpentry.
• Prior forklift operating experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch.
