PKI Service Desk Technician (PKI)

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona, USA; non-remote, onsite at Fort Huachuca. Fixed mid shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM local time. Initial training takes place on the day shift for two weeks.

What you will do

• Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for PKI incidents, service requests, certificate issues, and secure access problems.
• Issue, renew, revoke, suspend, recover, and maintain digital certificates and smart card credentials across their lifecycle.
• Support SSL/TLS certificate requests, installations, renewals, validation, authentication, encryption, and troubleshooting.
• Manage privileged accounts and monitor PKI infrastructure for availability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Review logs, alerts, and audit records; maintain certificate inventories, configurations, documentation, and support records.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, server, and application teams on deployments, maintenance, upgrades, and escalated issues.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoW Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570/8140, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• Associate degree in a relevant technical field or at least two years of relevant enterprise IT support experience.
• Experience supporting PKI environments and troubleshooting certificate, authentication, access, and encryption issues.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, and protection of sensitive data and PKI infrastructure.
• Current Computing Environment certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting DoD or other regulated government IT environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems, senior leaders, or VIP users.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
