RF Design Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, USA; onsite at 6221 S Racine Cir

Salary: USD 100,000–130,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus a potential year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Design front-end RF signal-chain circuits and assemblies for space vehicle communication and signal analysis systems.
• Develop low-phase-noise oscillators, distribution networks, RF digitizer circuits, and assemblies using multi-GSPS ADC/DAC components.
• Establish technical requirements, perform system trade studies, conduct design reviews, and track delivery schedules with project teams.
• Support PCB layout, transmission-line design, RF performance verification, laboratory measurements, and troubleshooting of RF hardware.
• Perform worst-case RF circuit analysis and create engineering documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Provide guidance to less experienced RF engineers and help improve hardware development processes.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• BSEE or an equivalent university degree.
• Knowledge of RF circuit theory, transmission-line propagation, coupling, oscillator operation, signal characterization, and digital RF sampling.
• Experience designing RF receiver and transmitter circuits, low-phase-noise oscillator and distribution circuits, RF circuit boards, and transmission lines.
• Experience with schematic capture and commercial RF EDA tools, including Siemens Xpedition, Cadence, AWR Microwave Office, or Keysight ADS.
• Experience with 3D EM modeling and multi-GHz RF verification equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal sources, or phase-noise analyzers.
