Senior Space Electronics Systems Engineer

Location: Centennial, Colorado, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, dependent on the program cycle

Salary: USD 130,000–180,000 yearly, plus potential year-end bonus

What you will do

• Define and validate architectures for avionics, payload electronics, power-distribution units, and environmental control systems.
• Produce system specifications, block diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans.
• Evaluate and qualify commercial and radiation-hardened components for mission requirements.
• Oversee prototype builds, assembly, production manufacturing, and systems integration.
• Design and execute electrical, functional, EMI/EMC, vibration, and thermal-vacuum testing; analyze results and drive verification.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and coordinate with hardware, firmware, software, power, and mechanical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of space-industry systems engineering experience, or 4+ years in a senior or lead role.
• Deep knowledge of digital, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed electronics design.
• Experience with Requirements Management Environment tools, radiation testing including TID and SEE, and mitigation techniques.
• Experience integrating firmware and software with embedded microcontrollers or FPGA systems.
• US citizenship required.

Nice to have

• RF processing system architecture, design, and testing experience.
• Experience with space-qualified microprocessors or FPGA families.
• Knowledge of space-system power calculations and space-qualification standards such as NASA SP-3008, ECSS-E-ST-20C, MIL-STD-1553, and SpaceWire.
