Financial Analyst - Real Estate & Debt Management

Location: New York, NY, USA; Home Office position with immediate start

What you will do

• Own real estate financing and debt management workstreams, including bond documentation and compliance reporting.
• Design scalable systems to track debt covenants, bond documents, resolutions, and certificates.
• Build and maintain long-term debt portfolio and organizational cash flow forecasting models.
• Coordinate with Accounting on amortization and debt payment schedules and support annual budgeting.
• Support debt financing execution through modeling, data gathering, due diligence, market research, and pricing analysis.
• Prepare financing materials for the Finance Committee and board and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Proficiency in Excel, including debt portfolio models, cash flow forecasts, and amortization schedules.
• Strong understanding of core finance principles and experience organizing documentation for financial transactions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership end-to-end, and collaborate across functions.
• General technology fluency with Microsoft 365, Excel, and modern collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tax-exempt bonds, New Markets Tax Credits, or Community Development Financial Institutions.
• Interest in automation or AI-enabled tools for financial analysis.
