Master PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor (HRTI) (SERE)

Location: On-site at the USSOCOM/MARFORSOC client site in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, USA, with assignments across the Southeastern United States and U.S. East Coast

Employment type: Full-time; contract-contingent engagement with potential conversion to a hirify.global W-2 position.

What you will do

• Deliver Full Spectrum Level C, sustainment, continuation, specialized SERE, and personnel recovery training for MARFORSOC personnel.
• Develop, update, and present course materials covering the Code of Conduct, personnel recovery, survival and evasion, resistance and escape, and captivity scenarios.
• Plan training schedules, locations, materials, field exercises, academic role-play labs, and resistance training laboratory exercises.
• Coach, mentor, assess, and remediate students while preparing written and verbal evaluations.
• Prepare training reports and after-action reports, coordinate course recovery activities, and support staff and command personnel.
• Conduct technology and course-content assessments, contribute to doctrine development, and perform Range Safety Officer duties.

Requirements

• Must hold the Marine Raider Training Center PR/SERE Master Training Instructor rating, awarded through instructor performance and a knowledge and skills board.
• Must meet High Risk Training Instructor requirements under NAVMC Formal Schools Management Manual 1553.2, Appendix D.
• Must have graduated from an approved DoD Full Spectrum Level C SERE course, or equivalent SERE and detention training documented on a DD214, or be willing to complete the MARFORSOC PR/SERE FSLC course.
• At least three years of U.S. military service with a general discharge under honorable conditions is required.
• Must demonstrate subject-matter expertise across preparation and planning, evasion, resistance, captivity resolution, and support to recovery.
• Must complete the MARFORSOC PR/SERE Course Unique Instructor Training and accompanying Individual Training Standards after hire.

Nice to have

• 20 or more independently taught FSLC SERE courses at MARFORSOC.
• Task Lead nomination and GS-11 Step 7 equivalency.
• Experience supporting SERE 811, SERE 860, and other Full Spectrum Level C SERE requirements.
