Assistant Project Manager (Project Coordination & Analytical Support)

Location: On-site at the client site in Washington, DC, with work generally located across the United States – Mid-Atlantic Region. Work is performed primarily between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Travel beyond 50 miles from the primary place of performance may be required.

What you will do

• Coordinate project meetings and workshops, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, logistics, and follow-ups.
• Maintain schedules, task trackers, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and routine status reports.
• Conduct research, gather data, analyze findings, and prepare supporting documentation.
• Draft communications, executive reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
• Support change management, strategic planning, performance measurement, governance, and portfolio management activities.
• Assist with data cleanup, migration preparation, Microsoft Access-based tools, process improvement, onboarding documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, business, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Four years of relevant experience, or three years with a bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools, analytical work, project tracking, and documentation.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, analytical, and stakeholder-support skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, including H-1B and TN visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Defense and security sector experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and data analytics tools.
• Experience with organizational change management, strategic planning, business transformation, or performance improvement.
